Chum Creek Horse Rides and Huts have the pleasure of offering our 3 day, 2 night “NDIS 90 Mile Beach Horse Ride Retreat.”
Enjoy some respite away from the big city down at 90 Mile Beach. Staying in our private beachside accommodation in the lovely little town of Seaspray, you’ll feel a million miles away from it all.
We offer up to 2 half days of riding along the beach. This can be altered to allow for individual capabilities and requirements. When not riding, take time to explore the beach, go for a swim in the lagoon or try a spot of surf fishing.
Staying in our freshly renovated beach house with your own private room, there is ample space to relax. Facilities include a games room, lounge with TV and Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and a private outdoor decking area. Located directly across from the beach you can hear the waves from your own front door. All meals are provided.
Included in the price is transport departing from and returning to our main site in Chum Creek, just 1 hour from Melbourne. (Direct pickups/drop-offs may be arranged for an extra fee depending on location).

Possible Itinerary
(please note this can be adapted to meet the requirements of individuals)
Day One:
10:30am: Depart Chum Creek Horse Riding and Huts with our staff in our vehicle.
2:00pm: Arrive in Sale and have a late lunch in one of the local cafes. Purchase any last-minute snacks or supplies.
3:30pm: Depart Sale for Seaspray.
4:00pm: Arrive at our accommodation in Seaspray.
Client can relax in their private room at the accommodation, watch TV, play boardgames, go for a beach walk or fish at the beach (rods provided).
5:30pm: Dinner cooked on site by our staff and eaten together. This provides an opportunity for the client and the staff to get to know each other and also allows the client to feel comfortable communicating any needs or worries.
7:30pm: Free time to watch TV, explore the beach at sunset, go fishing or relax with a cup of tea.
Bedtime: Clients will be encouraged to keep a reasonable bedtime to ensure they are well-rested for the horse ride the following day. Clients will be able to access staff in the night if they require.
Day Two:
8:30am: Breakfast at accommodation.
9:30am: Depart Seaspray and drive to Woodside Beach to meet the horses, before saddling up and heading out for a half-day ride with a picnic lunch.
4:30pm: Drive back to the accommodation for a rest and to freshen up.
5:30pm: Dinner will be prepared in the accommodation by the staff. Discussions will be had before the trip to discuss meal preferences.
7:30pm: Free time to watch TV, explore the beach, play board games, go fishing.
Day Three:
8:30am: Breakfast at the accommodation and pack up belongings.
9:30am: Depart with luggage to the horses for another half-day ride with a picnic lunch.
4:00pm: Depart the horse yard for the journey back to Chum Creek, dinner will be purchased on the return trip from a restaurant.
7:00pm: Approximate arrival back at Chum Creek.
*Please note, Chum Creek Horseriding & Huts reserves the right to alter this plan during the STA, should it be required due to safety, weather, client fatigue, or if a client requests to do more of one offered activity over another.
Base Package Price: $5550 ($1850 per day)

NOTE: HELMETS PROVIDED. PLEASE WEAR LONG PANTS AND CLOSED-TOED SHOES. (NO SHORTS OR SANDALS PLEASE.)
WEIGHT LIMIT – 95kg : For the welfare of our horses, Chum Creek Horse Rides enforces a rider weight limit of 95kg.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
WEATHER: Horse Trail Rides go out ‘INDEPENDENT OF WEATHER’.
Chum Creek Horse Rides provide drizabone coats. It is up to the discretion of the Senior Trail Riding Guide at the horse yards to cancel a ride.
If Chum Creek Horse Rides & Huts cancel a ride, options will be provided such as; Full Refund or a Credit/Choice of alternative times/days.
Chum Creek Horse Rides & Huts only take small groups on our horse trail rides, and as such, we knock back customers for many rides.
Cancellations made more than two weeks prior to the booking date will incur a $60 cancellation fee per rider, cancellations within two weeks of the booking date will not be refunded.
Rescheduling a booking more than two weeks prior to the booking date will incur a $60 rescheduling fee per rider, it is not possible to reschedule within two weeks of the booking date.
LATE or 'NO-SHOW' CUSTOMER: If a customer is late or is a 'no show', then a refund or a reschedule will not be provided.
